Things To Do

Here's a list of fun things to do during your stay in Negril.

Negril Seven Mile Beach

Jamaica

The most well known attraction in Negril, the family friendly 7 mile beach is famous for its long idyllic stretch of soft sand and beautiful water. There are plenty of beachside restaurants and bars to relax and take in some local Jamaican culture. If you are feeling more active, the beach has plenty of activities to choose from including parasailing, glass bottom boat trips, and snorkeling. Some locals will offer to sell souvenirs, live lobsters, and such at the beach, but a simple and polite “no thank you” is all it takes.

Bloody Bay

Jamaica

Just north of 7 mile beach, Bloody Bay has a unique history including whalers (origin of its name), pirates, and was even involved in the War of 1812. Bloody Bay is known for its snorkeling and diving, so it’s a great option for those looking to discover the reefs and sea life of the island.

Alfred's Ocean Palace

Negril, Jamaica
, +1 876-957-4669

From Frommer’s, “draws mainly locals, but visitors are welcome. Set directly on the beach, it attracts primarily a young party crowd, but if you're 80, you'll still be warmly embraced, your cold Red Stripe waiting. The $7 cover is for shows, and in addition to grabbing a drink, you can order a bite to eat until midnight. Particularly interesting is the beach-party area, with a stage for live reggae and jazz acts. You can also boogie on the dance floor inside, shaking to hits you'll hear at clubs stateside.”

Bourbon Beach Jamaica

Norman Manley Boulevard, Negril, Jamaica
, +1 876-957-4432

This is the most popular and versatile hangout on Negril Beach. Live reggae 3 nights a week. The rum and Red Stripe flow freely through the day and night - at least from 9am to 11pm (and often much later). Food includes jerk chicken or fresh fish and lobster.

Sandy Haven Resort

Norman Manley Boulevard, Negril, Jamaica
, +1 876-957-3200

If you're looking to rent beach chairs and order lunch & drinks to your seats, Sandy Haven Resort is the place! Many other resorts along the beach will provide lounge chairs, some complimentary if you're getting food & drinks.

Naila's Beach Bar & Kitchen

Norman Manley Boulevard, Negril, Jamaica
, +1 876-826-2530

Utilizing ingredients locally sourced from farmers markets, alongside a combination of imported indian herbs and spices found nowhere else on the island. Encounter delicious food influenced by local cuisine and Indian heritage or simply enjoy a cocktail of your liking courtesy of the largest stocked bar in town.

Rick's Cafe

West End Road, Negril, Jamaica
, +1 876-957-0380

One of the most popular destinations for tourists staying in Negril, Rick’s Cafe is life on the edge. The bar, restaurant and attraction are all located against some of Negril’s most magnificent cliffs. One of the highlights is the professional daredevils that dive from the treetops surrounding the cliff into the pristine cerulean waters. Make sure to stay for the sunset you’ve only ever seen before in pictures.

The Jungle

Jamaica

The most crowded, exuberant and famous dance club in Negril, Jungle Night Club is a Negril establishment. It’s known to tourists and locals for the casual and entertaining atmosphere. Unlike clubs in Kingston or Montego Bay, you can leave your heels and dress shirts at home. The great music and fun locals get the party started, inviting everyone else to join in.

Patsy's Coffeeshop

West End Road, Negril, Jamaica
, +1 876-841-3388

The place to go for breakfast, brunch, or dessert, this seaside gem is highly reviewed and the perfect place to relax and grab a bite with a view in the morning.

Collette's Bar

Archer Road, Negril, Westmoreland Parish, Jamaica

Collette’s is where the locals go. You won’t find anything fancy or proper, but expect great staff, excellent service and the friendliest locals. It could be categorized as a hole-in-the-wall, but one that’s pretty hard to miss as it’s painted bright yellow. The bar’s owner Collette is a legend in Negril for her lively personality.
