Is there a dress code?

Answer

Morning ceremony: Traditional Indian attire is encouraged (pastel themes, lighter and brighter colors are welcome) or formal Western wear may be worn. The ceremony will take place outdoors, where it could be slightly chilly. Evening reception: Guests are encouraged to wear festive/blingy Indian or fusion outfits (darker colors are welcome) or cocktail attire, perfect for dancing the night away.

Yes, the venue is easily accessible via ride-share services during the day, however, wait times may be longer later in the night.

What time is the wedding?

The wedding celebration will commence at 11:00 AM with baraat, followed by jaimala and phere, which will be followed by a festive lunch.

What time is the cocktail hour and reception?

The cocktail hour will begin at 5:30 PM, followed by the reception and sangeet at 7:00 PM.

What do guests do between lunch and cocktail hour?

Answer

A break of approximately three hours will be provided to allow guests to return to their hotel rooms to relax before the evening festivities begin, and to change into evening attire if desired. The venue’s restaurant and tasting room will be open for those who choose to remain on the premises.

A block of rooms has been arranged for our guests at the Hilton Garden Inn Dulles North at a special discounted rate. Please use the link in the Travel/Stay tab or mention our wedding when making your reservation.

How can guests get to the venue?

Answer

For guests staying at the Hilton Garden Inn Dulles North, transportation will be provided before and after the ceremony and reception. The venue is also easily accessible via ride-share services, with parking available on site. For guests traveling from out of state, the venue is conveniently located approximately one hour from Washington, DC and is accessible by car, bus, train, and air, with Dulles International Airport (IAD) as the closest airport.
