Castello di Gargonza

Our wedding venue is a 13th century medieval castle with original walls and tower, containing beautiful Tuscan dwellings which have been converted into modern apartments. For our wedding weekend, we have reserved the entire village where we will have the ceremony, reception, and other events throughout the weekend. The venue has provided a form for all guests to submit their booking information. Please see the "Room Booking Form” below for more information.

Flight

FLIGHT OPTIONS

The closest airport is Amerigo Vespucci Airport in Florence. There are not many direct flights to Florence from North America, but it's a good option for anyone connecting through a major European airport. The two major international airports with direct flights from North America are Leonardo da Vinci airport in Rome, and Malpensa airport in Milan.

Train

TRAINS TO AREZZO

High-speed trains are available to Arezzo from both Milano Centrale and Roma Termini stations. Trains from Milan will run directly to Arezzo, while trains from Rome will require a transfer in Florence. From the Arezzo train station, it’a a 30-minute taxi ride to the castle. The Monte San Savino train station is closer to the castle, BUT this town has NO taxi service.

Rental Car

RENTAL CARS

For those flying into Florence: Rental cars are available at the Florence airport, and Gargonza is a short 1 hour drive. For those flying into Rome or Milan: Rental cars are available from both airports; the drive to Gargonza will be 2-3 hours from Rome or 4-5 hours from Milan, with the major highway (A1) taking you most of the way from either direction.

We are beyond thrilled to have all of our loved ones in Italy to celebrate our special day! For the best rates, we suggest booking your flights 3-4 months in advance. Breakfasts are included in your room rate. The Welcome Dinner, Reception Dinner, and Farewell Dinner with local Italian wines will be provided by us. Any additional meals, travel needs, and excursions will be at your own expense.

Room Booking Form

Everyone attending our wedding will be staying on the property! There are two types of rooms, Classic for €250 and Superior €350. Superior rooms are typically larger and may have an air conditioner, living room, fireplace and/or kitchenette. Some of the rooms can accommodate a third person. As soon as we have all the RSVPs, we will assign rooms and send out a link for billing information. We will do our best to accomodate everyone’s wishes!
