The Turmeric Ceremony, known as Gaye Holud in Bengali tradition, is a joyful pre-wedding ritual held on the morning of the wedding day. It symbolises blessings, purity, and new beginnings for the couple. The ceremony will take place at Galleria 1910, a 115-year-old heritage building, set within the Royal Vintage Garden on the 3rd floor, an open-air space rich in history and charm. Family and friends will apply turmeric paste to the bride and groom as a gesture of love, protection, and good fortune. The atmosphere will be lively and warm, filled with music, dancing, flower showers, and shared moments of joy. Guests are warmly encouraged to participate and embrace the festive spirit. A traditional lunch will be served at the venue, followed by music, celebration, and photography sessions. Dress Code: Yellow, mustard, or warm orange tones in simple Indian or Indo-fusion attire.

Our celebrations begin with a traditional Vedic Hindu wedding ceremony, held indoors at the Royal Vintage Garden. This sacred ritual is the most important part of a Hindu wedding. The ceremony will be led by female priestesses, with hymns drawn from classical Sanskrit texts and beautifully blended with the words and songs of Rabindranath Tagore, Nobel Prize–winning poet and philosopher. His verses are woven into the rituals as living mantras, adding depth, meaning, and music. All hymns and rituals will be explained through a melodic narration, with English translations provided. Guests may enjoy light snacks and drinks during the ceremony. Following the rituals, we invite you to a traditional Bengali dinner buffet, featuring a variety of authentic dishes, along with mocktails and cocktails. The evening then continues with music, dancing, a DJ, and photo sessions as we celebrate together. Dress Code: Elegant, colorful Indian or festive attire encouraged.

The evening following the wedding day, we invite you to join us at a rooftop venue within the iconic ITC Royal Bengal Hotel, offering panoramic views of Kolkata’s skyline. The celebration will feature live music, a carefully curated Mezze bar, Kolkata’s beloved cold chaats (spécialités indiennes servies froides, mêlant saveurs sucrées, salées et épicées, très appréciées en soirée), and a selection of starters and main courses, accompanied by signature cocktails. As the night unfolds, DJ music will set the mood for dancing and celebration. Photography sessions will take place throughout the evening, capturing relaxed, candid moments as we come together to conclude the wedding festivities. We must dance and enjoy the final moments together. Dress Code: Formal Western wear, for ladies: Elegant gowns and gentlemen: Suits, with bow ties, welcomed
