How to Use the Istanbul Tramway Start by visiting any tram, metro, or ferry station to purchase an Istanbul transportation card (Istanbulkart). You can ask station staff or locals to point you in the right direction if needed. Use the ticket machines to load money onto your card. The machines are easy to use and accept cash and, at many locations, credit cards. Before heading out, use Google Maps to check which tram line and direction will take you to your desired destination. Google Maps works very well with Istanbul’s public transportation system. When entering the tramway, tap your Istanbulkart at the turnstile to pay your fare. Once onboard, keep an eye on the stop announcements and station signs to make sure you get off at the correct stop. The tramway is one of the easiest and most efficient ways to explore Istanbul and reach many of the city’s most popular sights.
Flight
There are no direct flights from America to Mardin. You will first have to book your flight to Istanbul and then book a seperate flight from an Istanbul Airport to Prof De. Aziz SANCAR Airport (you can just search Mardin airport- there's only one)
