Things To Do

Rachel grew up in Portsmouth, and it is one of our favorite places. And there is truly nothing better than a New England fall. We're excited to share some of the best spots around town with you!

Black Trumpet

29 Ceres Street, Portsmouth, NH 03801

Reservations highly recommended. You can always try to get a spot at the quaint bar upstairs (and order their signature drink - The Black Trumpet).

Moxy

106 Penhallow Street, Portsmouth, NH 03801

Reservations highly recommended. You can always try the bar. Get the mini beef burgers and corn muffins. You won't regret it.

Jumpin' Jay's Fish Café

150 Congress Street, Portsmouth, NH 03801

Reservations strongly recommended. A Portsmouth classic.

The Goat

142 Congress Street, Portsmouth, NH 03801

History was made here. This is where Rachel single-handedly (with Tom's unwavering support) won Bravo Trivia. No reservations needed, but be prepared to wait.

Flatbread Company

138 Congress Street, Portsmouth, NH 03801

Some of the best wood-fired pizza around. Always ask for the specials. And get the brownie sundae.

Green Elephant

35 Portwalk Place, Portsmouth, NH 03801

Vegetarian Thai-inspired eats. Rachel's parents get takeout from here at least once a week (so you know it's good).

Earth Eagle Brewings

175 High Street, Portsmouth, NH 03801

Beer, cocktails, wine, and a hot dog menu. Need we say more?

The Press Room

77 Daniel Street, Portsmouth, NH 03801

Iconic Portsmouth. Live music, good drinks, and food - can't beat it!

Jimmy's Jazz & Blues Club

135 Congress Street, Portsmouth, NH 03801

A gorgeous new jazz club located in the heart of downtown Portsmouth. Sit down, order a martini, and catch a show!

The Music Hall, Portsmouth, NH

28 Chestnut Street, Portsmouth, NH 03801

A beautiful old theatre that has been a staple of Portsmouth for years. They host theatre, music, film and more. Fun fact - Rachel has performed on the stage many times!

Walk around downtown Portsmouth and support local vendors!

Portsmouth is a fun place to simply walk around and window (or actually) shop. There are so many local vendors - from clothing shops, to art, to home goods, to specialty food stores. Here are some of our favorites: - The Wear House (second hand clothing store) - Macro Polo (goofs and gags - you have to see it to get it) - Off Piste (home goods and other fun items) - Salt Cellar (a store all about salt - from the kind you can eat to the kind you throw in the tub!) - Stonewall Kitchen (specialty food items - and free samples) - Making Faces (all natural make-up and skincare)

Seacoast Science Center

570 Ocean Boulevard, Rye, NH 03870

Right in the next town over (Rye, NH), the Seacoast Science Center has lots to do and see! Get your science on!

Strawbery Banke Museum

14 Hancock Street, Portsmouth, NH 03801

Step into the past by walking through Portsmouth's historic waterfront neighborhood. A truly fun experience.

For all the days along the way
