We met through mutual friends, at North bowl in North Attleboro for a friends birthday. Come to find out, both of us almost decided not to go out that night. According to Steph, Amanda called dibs on me before she could, and I spent the night teaching her to bowl with two hands because she could not hit a pin with one hand. Amanda does not like bowling and that might be the only time she enjoyed it. I asked her out to dinner at La Scala in Randolph, a place I had always wanted to try. She informed me it was a favorite of her grandparents and she had been there several times so she would love to go there. It was perfect, every bit of it, I had never had a better date. We talked about going to Red Sox games and camping, the food was excellent, and I will always remember how beautiful Amanda looked that night. Several times that dinner I looked across at her and she would sigh and her head would sink into her hands as she stared at me. I could not believe it, I was thinking wow this girl is really into me... she had also had a good amount of wine. After one sigh she let out I could not wait anymore and leaned over the table to kiss her and she met me in the middle and we kissed over a table in the middle of La Scala. Even before we kissed we both knew where we were heading together.
Not wanting to wait another year, we decided to get married in our backyard in front of some of our friends and family. Everything turned out perfectly, especially the weather. We wish we could have had everyone there but that’s why we are still going to have a church ceremony and a big celebration!
