We met online shortly after memorial day weekend. About a week or so later, we decided to officially meet up in person! On June 9, 2019 we had our first date at Ft. Wetherill State Park in Jamestown.

At the start of 2023 we decided to start searching for a house to call our own. After a few months of house hunting, we finally found an old house with a big yard, and we could see its potential! On April 7th we got the keys to our house!!! With the help from friends and family, we quickly started making our visions come to life. We moved in in June, living out of one room as the projects progressed. These days truly brought us together in a whole new way and made our relationship even stronger.

Amongst the chaos of moving into a new place together for the first time AND it being under renovation ... We also fell in love with a couple of creatures at the animal shelter. The day we packed up the rest of my apartment, we stopped at the Potter League and adopted a dog with a heart as big as his personality, Derby. Not even two weeks later, we went back to the shelter and picked up a kitten, Tiramisu!

On Tuesday, April 1, 2025 I (Sabrina) came home a little later than usual. I was excited to tell Jon about my spontaneous venture to opening day at Frosty Freez and how it was acceptable to have ice cream for dinner on such occasions. Jon, excited about his new ice cream pint purchases from Clementines, cheerfully agreed and suggested sampling some of the new flavors ... how could I say no? After winding down from the day, we got out the ice cream dishes preparing for a night on the couch. There were three flavors to try; black raspberry Oreo, cookie dough (a classic), and wedding cake! of course we opened up the "Wedding Cake" pint first, rather than ice cream being inside, there was a ring box!!! Moments later Jon proposed and the rest is history! We are so excited to be on this journey, finding joy every step of the way 🤍 We can't wait to celebrate with you all in May!!!
