Take a scenic drive down The Blue Ridge Parkway view the glorious Blue Ridge Mountains and head through the many iconic tunnels. There are many routes you can down the Blue Ridge here are some options below. We recommend bringing a rain coat or a sweatshirt as the weather changes dramatically due to the elevation. 1. Follow the link below for a 60 mile loop heading South on the Parkway. We recommend starting at the Arboretum instead of the outlets. 2. You can also head north on the parkway toward Craggy Gardens or you can continue further to Mount Mitchell (highest peak east of the Mississippi River).

Dupont State Forest offers many activities/sites including hiking, waterfalls and mountain biking trails. Triple falls hike is an easy hike where you can view Hooker Falls, Triple Falls, High Falls and a covered bridge. Park in the HookerFalls Access area.
