Some time in April 2016, Saarah was studying for a contracts final and Mike had a day off from work and decided to drive to Boston from Rhode Island. They just happened to be visiting the same house. Hours into her studying and him playing Call of Duty, they both decided to take a break and step into the kitchen for a drink and started chatting with each other. Next thing you know, they're playing a board game and Saarah had a choice to make- take a shot or give "the person to her left" a piggyback ride. Saarah gave Mike a piggyback ride. SUCCESSFULLY. Years go by and their friendship grew and grew. Life had its inevitable cruelties, but they overcame and grew some more. On September 23, 2019 on a beach in Maui, Mike asked Saarah to be his girlfriend (for the second time!) Then on November 21, 2023 in a forest in Japan, Mike asked Saarah to marry him.
