From Halloween to Happily Ever After, LaLa & Stew say I DO!

Laura and Stew met through their dear friend Jennie, who worked with Laura at the same office. On October 31st, 2014, Jennie invited her to a Halloween party — and knowing Laura’s love for this holiday, she showed up in full Catrina (Day of the Dead) makeup, jewels and all. The moment she arrived, chaos struck: another guest accidentally crashed into a parked car, sending everyone running outside. In that unexpected moment, Laura and Jennie linked up — and Jennie introduced her to Stewart and the rest of the group. The first time they laid eyes on each other, Stew was dressed as Clark Kent: signature curled hair, a press pass, and the iconic Superman suit peeking from under his shirt. Laura, meanwhile, was unrecognizable beneath her beautiful blue-and-white makeup. Their very first interaction? A simple, “Do you want something to drink?” Stew wouldn’t actually see Laura’s real face until a few weeks later, when she was invited back for another friend’s birthday. From that night forward, everything just clicked. They talked and saw each other every single day for two months straight — and 11 years later, (many trips and experiences later) here we all are, celebrating the next chapter of their story. Their families are truly blessed to love one another, and their friendships span every corner of life: childhood, high school, the Marines, the Hard Rock, the University of Miami, nursing school, architecture, Colombia, Peru, and so many more chapters and places that shaped them. Friends who became family, family who became friends. Let’s come together for an incredible day celebrating love, life, and the beautiful diversity of everyone who helped them reach this moment.
