A week before Mother's Day of 2015, I received a phone call from Ryshen's brother requesting a haircut for his nephew. Of course I agreed, but then was told his mom would be bringing him. Minutes later her and her son walked in the shop, she began demanding me to cut his hair this way, but not to cut it that way, but cut it this way. At that time I was listening but really wasn't only wishing she'd shut up and let me do my job, hoping I get it correct so she'd return. Through all the sweat and tears I finished accomplishing the look she was looking for and gave her his haircut on the house. She then looked at me smiled and stated, "thank you, we will see you next week." At that moment I knew I needed to pursue her and make her my wife one day.
After our initial meet and greet, I decided to reach out to her brother so I could send her a Mother's Day gift ( roses and card). We than began to communicate on a regular basis months passed, then we decided to have our first date at the Virginia Safari. This was by far the best laid back date ever. At that point we agreed to have weekly dinner dates and stick to just that. As time progresses our relationship grew stronger and stronger. We have explored, and experienced lots of things together.
On Christmas Day with our 3 kids I️ decide it was time to pop the question. As we enjoyed the kids opening their gifts, I️ had a little gift of my own and felt that was the right moment amongst the ones that’s most important to us “ our kids”.....Ryshen Deloatch will you do me the honors of being my wife?? She immediately replied with a “Yes.”
As the days went by we were undecided on a date/time of our big date. On Jan. 17,2017 is when Ryshen Deloatch became Ryshen Miller.
Now you know a short version of our story that got us to the point we are now. Renewing our vows on July 28,2018 @ 5pm.
