For men, button-down or polo shirts with chinos or dress pants. Blazers are optional. Clean, dressy shoes or loafers recommended. For women, dresses, skirts, or dressy jumpsuits, or a nice top with tailored pants. Comfortable heels, wedges, or flats are all appropriate. Please avoid jeans, sneakers, athletic wear, and flip-flops.
For men, suits or dress pants with a button-down and sports jacket or blazer (tie optional). For women, cocktail or midi dresses or dressy separates. Please avoid jeans or causal wear.
For men, a tuxedo is preferred but not required, paired with a formal shirt and tie or bow tie. A dark suit with a tie is also acceptable. For women, floor-length gowns or refined midi dresses with hemlines at or below the knee. We encourage elegant, evening-appropriate styles that are modest, polished, and timeless.
We are honored to celebrate with our military friends and family. To keep the look consistent, we kindly ask that mess dress uniforms not be worn, as the groom will be in civilian attire.
For the ceremony, the two preferred parking lots are East of the cathedral at the intersection of La Grave Ave SE and Maple St SE. For the reception, we recommend using the Amway Grand Parking Garage located at 216 Pearl St NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49503. There is a skybridge to the hotel on Level E.
