Our story started in Texas—with Ryley working in Dallas as a travel nurse and Cole completing pilot training for the United States Air Force in Wichita Falls. We were introduced through two wonderful people in our lives: Ryley’s Aunt Shannon and Cole’s good friend Grant Davis. That thoughtful introduction set our love story in motion. From our very first meeting in Dallas, something just clicked. Our relationship grew quickly and effortlessly, built on late nights in Fort Worth, dinners at our favorite Dallas spots, long walks under the warm Texas sun, and countless episodes of Real Housewives (which Cole pretended not to enjoy quite as much as he actually did). When Ryley’s nursing contract came to an end, she moved back home to Michigan while Cole began instructor pilot training in San Antonio. Even with miles between us, distance never felt like a barrier. We made it work with trips back to Texas, soaking up the same simple joys we fell for in the first place—good food, long walks, and time together. A year later, Cole got down on one knee in Texas, our beloved state. He surprised Ryley by inviting both of our parents to join us afterward for a beautiful dinner that we’ll remember forever. Now we’re beginning our next chapter in Kansas City, Missouri, where Cole will continue his pilot career flying the B-2 and Ryley will continue her nursing career while working toward her graduate degree. We feel incredibly grateful for the journey the Lord has provided and led us on—and even more excited for all that’s ahead!
