$35 per car to enter the park, but you can spend hours here driving and hiking around. We know this place well so feel free to ask us about any recommendations, but here’s a few sites: jumbo rocks, skull rock, Keys View, Barker Dam, the Boy Scout Trail. If you are comfortable doing some off roading take a drive down Geology Road (it ROCKS! Hehehe)
Don’t let this country bar fool you. It may be out in the middle of nowhere, but this place has a long and famous history. The Red Hot Chili Peppers and Sir Paul McCartney have suddenly made appearances unannounced and performed on stage. Enjoy a drink, some bbq and maybe some celebrity sightings (like Jason Momoa). They have a very large outdoor area too.
Delicious food wether you’re a meat eater, vegetarian or vegan. They have Rylee’s favorite BLT and Michael’s favorite cookies. We once turned around after already being 20 miles outside of JT just to go back and pick up cookies...
Chill place in downtown JT to have a drink. Not the greatest food, but fun atmosphere.
Delicious pizza in Yucca. Just a short drive from JT.
Great views up on SoCal’s second highest peak San Jacinto. You’ll be transported from desert to pine trees. You can take the tram and enjoy a beverage and a relaxing walk around.
