Yes, kids are welcome at the ceremony and reception. There will be lots of space for the kiddos to run around.
Guests must be shuttled to the ceremony which we will take care of. Please park or be dropped off at the Indian Cove Market 69131 Twentynine Palms Highway, Twentynine Palms, CA 92277. The shuttle will make continuous trips up and down the road to the Amphitheater. The last shuttle will leave the market at 4:45. For those who are camping we will give you details on where you can park directly.
Destination semi-formal. What does that mean? It’s going to be sandy and warm and then get cooler as the night goes on. We encourage comfortable, breathable dress clothes and sandals or flat shoes are highly recommended. Hats and sunglasses are encouraged. Layers!
We will have to shuttle everyone back to their cars after the reception. Uber and Lyft are easily available in the area too along with some local cab companies.
Yes! The reception is actually taking place at 2 large group campsites that we love. For those who would like to camp (tent or RV) Saturday night are more than welcome to park their car or RV at the reception site. There is space for about 10-12 cars.
Dinner will be our favorite food in the whole wide world: street tacos (chicken, carne asada, el Pastor and cactus options), maulitas, quesadillas and LA dogs (bacon wrapped hot dogs) AKA heaven. Dessert will consist of cake and a s’more station. Beverages: plenty of water, non-alcoholic options (sodas, agua fresca, horchata), beer, wine.
The wedding is outside of the park entrance so there will Be no park fees for guests. However, if you would like to actually enter the park and explore while visiting (which we highly encourage) then a day pass is required. If you have an America the Beautiful pass already, you can use that.
As vaccines role out California is opening up more and more. We have chosen to have all Events take place outside rather than at an indoor venue (hence the location). We are not requiring all Guests to have a negative covid test or proof of vaccine before arriving, but we are not discouraging this either. Masks will not be mandatory during the ceremony or reception except when being shuttled or interacting with our food vendor. Again, we are not discouraging mask wearing. We want everyone to be comfortable and feel safe during the entire experience. If you arrive at the ceremony and feel the seating arrangements are too close, please feel free to find a place to stand that is comfortable for you.
Popular question. Yes, there are rattlesnakes who live where we will be. However, we have never ran into any the many times we have been there. They also tend to not come out later in the day, so the chances of meeting one is not likely. Just don’t go sticking your fingers into holes in the sand or cut through bushes. Parents with kiddos We are talking to you. Other wildlife you may see: jack rabbits, big horn sheep, desert tortoises, lizards, birds. Bob cats and coyotes are around at night/early morning, but tend to stay away from noise and humans.
Please do! Now, we would really love people to be present for the ceremony and not looking through the screen of their phone. We have an awesome professional destination/adventure photographer Payton who will be there the whole time. However, once we say “I do” get those babies out and start shooting. When ya upload use the hashtag #lefonts2021 so you can see all the photos people take.
