We met on our first day of college at The Ohio State University 10 years ago. We lived on the same floor in our dorm and became fast friends. We would stay up all night talking and laughing. Our friendship grew into easily into love and we started dating February 7th, 2014. We knew after just a few months we had found the person we were meant to be with. After almost a decade together, we cannot wait to celebrate our love with all of our friends and family!

Matt continued working in Dayton and coming to visit Kelsey when she wasn't studying, often watching sports in her tiny apartment while she studied all day. They still found time here and there for trips to Aruba, New Orleans, and Sedona. Matt was extremely understanding of Kelsey's busy schedule and her rapidly accruing student debt... Finally in 2019, Matt got a new job in marketing and moved up to Columbus where they moved in together for the last 2 years of Kelsey's medical school. Matt also started his own Reds Blog "Reds Content Plus" dedicated to the latest news and statistics of his beloved Cincinnati Reds.
Matt bought the ring in 2019 with plans to propose February 2020. However, Kelsey thwarted his original plan by turning down a walk to Jeni's Ice creams for the first time in her life. Then COVID hit and Matt couldn't find the right occasion in quarantine. They planned a trip to the Smoky Mountains October 2020 where he finally got down on one knee on a hike to a waterfall after 6 years together. It was indeed, the best thing to come out of 2020 for them.
Kelsey graduated medical school in May 2021 and matched into Pediatrics residency at Lurie Children's Hospital in downtown Chicago. Matt and Kelsey sold their cars and made the big move to live right downtown, just a few blocks from the Magnificent Mile and the lakefront. Matt recently got a new job working in marketing for the Dental Assistant National Board where he works from home with the option to go into the office downtown. Despite Kelsey's long hours, they have made the most of their new city exploring the neighborhoods, biking on the lakefront trail, eating delicious food, and attending sports games!
