Maid of Honor
My most long-time and dearest friend. We were inseparable from 1st grade through our senior year of college. I have probably spent as much time with Kyla as I have with my family. A person couldn't ask for a better best friend.
Best Man
Riley is Ryanne's brother and one of the most influential people in both our lives. Early on in our relationship, it became very clear that Ryanne's family and Riley, in particular, were some of the most influential and important people in her life. I have really enjoyed getting to know Riley and his take on things over the years. Recently, Riley and I have both have gotten bit by the sledding bug. We have biked and skied together quite a bit over the years and I can not think of a better person to do it with.
Bridesmaid
Jessie and I have been wonderful friends since our freshman year of college. No matter what you do with Jessie, you know it will be a fantastic time and a ridiculous adventure.
Groomsman
David is one of the kindest people I have ever met. I consider him a kindred spirit and one of the most loyal friends I could have ever asked for. We have been friends since we both worked at the fish technology center. Since then, we have become ski and bike buddies. He has been a crucial component of our love of exploration over the years, and we look forward to many more to come. He is also the proud owner of a functional serpentine belt tensioner.
Bridesmaid
Abbs and I have known each other since we children but became great friends when Abby starting dating Riley (my brother). Abby is always the kindest person in the room and always puts a smile on your face!
Groomsman
During graduate school, we had had a break for coffee and our friendship almost every day. We bonded over our love of science, fantasy, and science fiction. Anyone who has spent any time with Jon is incredibly fortunate because he brings a fun sense of adventure and curiosity to everything he encounters.
Bridesmaid
Keely and I have been friends since elementary school. Keely goes through life with such confidence and is an inspiration to all around her.
Groomsman
I am pretty sure that Cam took freshwater ecology at the same time during undergrad, and may have even sat close to or next to each other. However, we didn't become friends until we connected studying abroad at the same university in Costa Rica. Cam and I became quick friends and spent every weekend exploring the surrounding beaches and rain forests. This did not stop when we returned home. Both of us took a second senior year of undergrad and subsequently got to spend another year together. Cam is one of the most intelligent people I have ever met, but when I think of him, I don't think about his intelligence; I think of his kindness.
Bridesmaid
Jessica is my cousin, and she lives below Nick and I. We have been friends our whole lives but have gotten much closer once we both lived in Bozeman. Jessica is an excellent conversationalist and is always lovely to talk to.
Groomsman
Adam Cook has been a great friend to me ever since our freshman year of college. Adam is one of the most reliable and genuine people I have had the good fortune to meet. Together, we have pushed the limits of our minds, bodies, and souls. Adam also taught me how to play "my heart will go on" on melodica (figure 1).
Flower Child
Neil is Ryanne's 7-year-old little cousin. When his mom told him that we were getting married, he said, "well, mom, looks like I'm going to need one of those black suits!"
Groomsman
Jordan has been nothing but the most quality homie for almost 2 decades. Jordan and I became friends in middle school and that friendship has endured ever since.
Bridesmaid
Best dawg in the world. She is a pure breed party hound with the highest petagree.
Groomsmen
Erik and I were roommates during college and both lab mates and roommates during graduate school. Erik is known for always being a pinch hitter. Someone you can depend on at any time, as well as being a great time and up for some shenanigans.
Groomsman
JP and Nick were college roommates, during which time they both discovered their love of mountain biking. They have made a point to keep in touch and meet up for skiing or biking trips when ever an opportunity presents itself.
Groomsman
Paul and I meet in Sunday school in the early '90s. We became close friends early in high school bonding over their similar senses of humor. Together we gave some of the least substantive but hilarious presentations in the history of Bozeman High School. It was with Paul and his brother Martin that I developed my love of the Outdoors. Starting at 15 or 16 years old, we would embark on "Lord of the Rings" style backpacking trips. We would bring a cast iron, a bag of discount streaks marinating in what was affectionately termed "the meat bag" and our sense of adventure.
