SLC ACTIVITY - Red Butte Garden and Arboretum
If you want to somewhere relaxing, Red Butte is the place. The natural gardens are beautiful and extensive, we typically spend 2 or 3 hours here. Worth visiting!
SLC ACTIVITY - Clark Planetarium
The Clark Planetarium is a great place for families to visit! It is almost entirely free - and has a ton of interactive exhibits and fun things for kids. There is also a fun spot for lunch down the street called HallPass.
SLC ACTIVITY - Loveland Living Planet Aquarium
Kids and adults will love the aquarium! They have done a great job and we highly recommend a visit, with or without kids. It is busier on weekends - but has never been that overcrowded.
SLC ACTIVITY - Snowbird Tram
If you've never been to Utah, this is a must do! The tram is so fun to ride in the summer, and gives access to some of the best views in Utah. If you want to hike down instead of ride the tram back, bring some comfortable shoes, it's further than you think! (from prior experience).
SLC ACTIVITY - Snowbird Alpine Slide and Zipline
Snowbird has the best alpine slide and zipline (in our opinion). It's also home to Oktoberfest, which will be open during the weekends in August. Combined with the tram, it would make a great visit!
PC ACTIVITY -Homestead Crater
The Homestead Crater is such a fun and unique thing to do in Utah! It is a natural crater and stays about 90 degrees year round. We would recommend spending about an hour here because it is warm. Kids love it. Definitely book a reservation in advance!
PC ACTIVITY - Utah Olympic Park
If you're looking for a place to do something new, the Utah Olympic park is the place. You can bobsled, tube down a mountain, or practice ski jumping into water. Chat with Cole about his favorite activity!
SLC RESTAURANT - Nona Bistro
Our favorite restaurant in the summer! They have an amazing menu, you can't go wrong with anything. You can sit outside or in their garage area.
SLC RESTAURANT - Sol Agave
This is Cole's favorite restaurant. He only orders the fajitas, but I'm sure everything else is great too.
SLC RESTAURANT - Picnic Cafe
Their lattes and bagels are all great! They have a great outdoor patio next to Liberty Park, which is a great park to walk around.
SLC RESTAURANT - Porcupine Pub & Grill
Our favorites are the wahoo fish tacos and nachos. Both are great to split!
PC RESTAURANT - High West Saloon
Possibly our favorite restaurant in all of Utah. Highly recommend their burger, tacos, and charcuterie board. If you're in the mood for dessert, their Grillswith is amazing. Our favorite drinks are the High West Lemonade and their Old Fashioned. They don't accept reservations, so expect to wait. 21+ only.
PC RESTAURANT - Oishi Sushi
If you want spectacular sushi, Oishi is the spot. We have an entire list of suggestions, please text us, it would make our day! The top two are the luxury shrimp appetizer and super dragon roll. You can't go wrong here!
PC RESTAURANT - Harvest
Our top spot for breakfast/brunch in Park City. We love their nourish toasts, acai bowls, and daily specials. They have a full coffee bar. It's right next to main street in downtown Park City, and is in a beautiful spot!
Hikes we love
Near Salt Lake City, we love the Bells Canyon in Sandy, Ensign Peak near downtown, and Lake Mary/Catherine which is up Big Cottonwood Canyon. If we just had to pick one, the drive up Big Cottonwood and views from Lake Catherine are gorgeous! Stopping by Silver Lake in Brighton is worth walking around too. In Park City, Bloods Lake Loop, located in Guardsmans Pass is our favorite. If you do go, note that you will lose cell phone service the last few minutes of the drive, so be sure to have directions on, but it is a large parking lot! If you have time after, keep driving up the pass and go to Silver Lake in Brighton. It's a beautiful drive! Daly's Canyon and most hikes near Main Street are also great.
