We met at a game night at the Murphys Pour House organized by Melissa's best friend and Ryan's coworker, June. June had told both of us separately that she thought we would hit it off. As it turns out, she was right! As soon as we met, we quickly fell into a conversation about art and french philosophers. That night, we debated whether bananagrams is an inherently structuralist game (hint: it is) or if Bumble is actually the feminist dating app it claims to be (hint: it is not). Onlookers suspected love and they were right (even if we didn't know it quite yet!).
After immediately connecting over art and theory, we soon found we had so much in common and couldn't stop spending time together. We moved in together shortly after, experiencing a new slice of life amongst friends in Chicago. While we learned so much about each other, and met fantastic new friends, we realized we wanted to set our roots in Calaveras. So after two years, we made the decision to move back. Now it's been nearly three years of living in Calaveras together and we have continued to grow as a unit. We are so thrilled to have found each other and to be settling down in a place we love. We can't wait for you to join us to celebrate!
