We're Getting Married

Ryan and Kait met in high school through mutual friends and quickly became close. After years of being friends, Ryan asked Kait out on September 2, 2017. We spent our early dating years going on movie and lunch dates—usually meeting in between our hometowns of Johnson and Falls City. Kait and Ryan graduated from high school the same year and went to college in Omaha and Fremont, Nebraska. In college, we realized our mutual love of traveling. So when we graduated from undergrad, we hit the road and started traveling the United States with our sweet pup, Pluto. One of our favorite chapters happened in the fall of 2024 while we were living in Boston. Two of our close friends came to visit, and we took a drive up to New Hampshire to see the fall colors. While standing by a quiet lake, Ryan got down on one knee and proposed—completely surprising Kait. (Shoutout to our friends who secretly flew the ring all the way from Omaha!) We love exploring new places, trying new foods, hitting the slopes in the winter, and spending sunny weekends at the Lake of the Ozarks. Most of all, we love spending time with the people who mean the most to us—our friends and family. We’ve grown together through many stages of our lives and now we’re excited to continue that journey as husband and wife.
