Take the Ferry to San Francisco
This passenger ferry takes you right past Treasure Island and under the Bay bridge, giving you the best entre to San Francisco you could dream of. It drops you off at the SF Embarcadero next to the Ferry Building (great food and shops). From there you can hop on a trolly to Fishermans Warf and Ghirardelli Square, or up for a drink at the Top of the Mark
