What safety measures should I take traveling in Oakland?

Answer

Oakland is full of wonderful people, but the combination of exceptionally high cost of living and inadequate wages leave some folx desperate. For that reason breaking into cars is extremely common. If you are diving a car, be sure to lock it and never leave anything visibly in it. Ever. Be mindful of where and when you park. Other than that, you are good.

Where should I fly into?

Answer

Oakland International Airport is 20min away from the venue and super convenient. SFO is 45 - 90minutes away depending on traffic. Both SFO and OAK are also accessible by BART.

What about kids?

Answer

The venue is on a dock over water with minimal railings and requests no kids under 10. Please give us a shout if you have questions or concerns.
