I'm Vicki, the mother of the bride. I am thrilled to be celebrating my lovely daughter and Ryan's special day, and welcome Ryan as my son in law. Ryan is very thoughtful, kind and helpful and compliments my daughter. I often enjoy having them over and going out to restaurants with them. I am very proud of my daughter. She is a very hard worker and an excellent planner and organizer. She is very creative (she gets it from her mom) =) I wish them great health and happiness in the years to come. I love them both dearly.

I'm Marcia, mother of the groom. I am so excited for the upcoming wedding of Ryan and Vanessa. Ryan is our youngest child and has always been very thoughtful and courteous of others. When he was 10 he asked all the single ladies young or old to dance with him at weddings. Ryan brought Vanessa to our house for a family gathering years ago and I couldn't have been more pleased to meet her. One of the things I have really appreciated in getting to know Vanessa is her ability to plan social gatherings and market products while she worked at Lucky Brand or assisting with my husband's books. She adds fun to every occasion. She compliments Ryan in so many ways and I know they have great love for one another. August 12th is a day I am really looking forward to. Ryan is a lucky guy!

Auntie Vanessa and Uncle Ryan have been together a long time. They've loved each other for years. Auntie Vanessa is nice because she plans special surprises. Uncle Ryan is funny because he does all sorts of silly things and jokes with me. My favorite thing Uncle Ryan ever said was 'Badonkadonk.' My favorite thing Auntie Vanessa ever did was taking me to "Paddington Bear."

He knows how lucky he is to find such a great partner in Vanessa. She adds an extra sparkle to all family occasions. I am really looking forward to this dream wedding that Ryan and Vanessa are planning.

Hi I'm Emily, partner in crime and brunch manager of the bride. I've been friends with Ryan and Vanessa for over 14 years now, each year with a new fantastic memory to be made after the next! I can't wait to be able to be part of their special day with all of you. It's been a long.... long time coming. We're talking Blockbuster Video long, if you know me. :D I've had so much fun over the years being able to grow with them together from being goofy and having care-free times, to now I am a mom, who is wedding planning with Vanessa. If you had told me 14 years ago we would be standing here today, celebrating the love of my two amazing friends, I would have simply believed it in that moment, as I knew when I saw them together all those years ago, that they were the ones for each other. Congratulations Vanessa and Ryan.

Hello. Hi. I'm Chris. I have had the pleasure of knowing Ryan since 6th grade (over 20 years ago). Through the years we have bonded over our love of football and, more recently, the wonderful women in our lives... who thankfully both love the Seahawks. It's always been hard living in the shadow of Ryan. Literally, yes, he is my tall friend. Figuratively Ryan is always there for me whenever asked. No question. I am honored to be part of this special day for both Vanessa and Ryan. Cheers to all the memories to come in the future!

I remember meeting Vanessa for the first time at Thanksgiving. My cousin, Sylvia, had made up this game where each person was to write down something they were thankful for, and put it in a glass. She mixed them up and then we each took turns pulling one out to read, while everyone guessed who the thankful person was. I remember it being very easy to guess that both Ryan and Vanessa were incredibly, sweetly, lovingly thankful for one another. I can’t recall what I wrote being thankful for, but I can tell you that I had many years of being thankful for my not-so-little-brother, and this was the start of me being thankful for the sister I always wanted.

Ryan and I met back in middle school through a mutual friend. He was an easy-going likable guy within walking distance so we were fast friends. When we first met I thought it might be strange to just head over to his house with a friend that maybe I wouldn't be welcome having not met him before, but of course we know Ryan and his whole family are some of the most welcoming people you'll ever meet. As a young connoisseur of American Cinema he introduced me to many silver screen classics. We spent the next decade or so playing great video games and watching terrible movies. His passion for games and movies made sense for him getting a career in the field where he met the lovely Vanessa who I have the utmost respect for and bringing him along in his love for the game of football and the Seattle Seahawks. Together they make a like-minded couple who always seem to find themselves surrounded by friends because of the energy and warmth they have together for those around them. I always look forward to the next occasion that will bring us all together and I am thrilled to share in that warmth on this very special occasion from my family to yours Ryan and Vanessa congratulations and best wishes!
