Ryan was escaping the Chicago weather in Miami. Sierra was celebrating her new job with a girls trip in Miami. One evening, Ryan was picking up his dinner from the lobby bar and Sierra was grabbing an espresso martini while waiting for her friend to finish getting ready. The bartender asked Sierra where she was from. Ryan overheard her response, "Chicago". That was his in. The conversation led to a first date back in Chicago.
