Things To Do

If you are able, we highly recommend making a full weekend out of your trip so you can see why this city is so special to us! See below for some of our favorite spots:

Restaurant Recommendations

The Taco Stand- in our opinion, the top 2 burritos we've ever had Lane Field Park Street Food Market- farmers market vibes with endless food trucks of many cuisines (Saturdays/Sundays from 10 AM-4 PM) Mike's Taco Club in Ocean Beach- the other half of our top 2 best burritos ever (you can even grab some to-go margaritas and walk over to the beach) Cannonball Sushi- vibes are immaculate, sushi is unreal, and it's right on Mission Beach (in Belmont Park) Cesarina- Even though it's not in Little Italy, in our opinion this is a must-visit Italian restaurant with the best vibes and by far the best tiramisu EVER! Cocina 35- If you love Chilaquiles you won't want to miss this one... who knew there were so many chilaquiles combos?! Better Buzzed Coffee- Shreya's favorite coffee in SD and they have locations all throughout the city.

Shreya and Ryan's Favorites

Watch the sunset at Sunset Cliffs: It's one of the most amazing places to watch the sunset- absolutely breathtaking. It also happens to be the place where Ryan proposed to Shreya! Grab some snacks, drinks, a blanket and park along the cliffs just before sunset. Belmont Park: fun amusement park right on Mission Beach- play some arcade games, walk the boardwalk, grab some dip n' dots, and ride some roller coasters. Fun fact - Shreya was terrified of the zip-line and had to be comforted by a 10 year old girl behind her. Visit La Jolla- go kayaking or snorkeling at La Jolla Shores, treat yourself at some boujie shops, or drive around the Bird Rock area to admire the dreamy beachfront homes. Visit Coronado Island by ferry or car: Spend a couple hours seeing its golden beaches, the historic Hotel del Coronado, and stunning views of the SD skyline. San Diego Speed Boat Adventures: A bumpy, thrilling adventure we will never forget. (be sure to buy tickets ahead of time)

Other Recommendations

Little Italy: a chic, pedestrian-friendly neighborhood, packed with restaurants, cute cafes, fun shops, and breweries. Seaport Village: Seaport Village in San Diego is a waterfront shopping and dining complex, known for its unique shops, outdoor entertainment, and picturesque views of the harbor. San Diego Zoo: In the heart of Balboa Park, one of the largest and most famous zoos in the world, is known for its diverse range of animals and commitment to conservation.
