Our venue is located in Saratoga, CA, which is right in the Silicon Valley. See what concerts or events are going on at Shoreline Ampitheater or Levi's Stadium. Stop by the Stanford campus and explore Palo Alto, or get spooky with a visit to the Winchester Mystery House. Alternately, there's some great local wine tasting - Ridge Vineyards (Cupertino), Testarossa (Los Gatos), or Saison (Los Gatos). Explore the outdoors and hike in the Santa Cruz Mountains (multiple trails), which showcase stunning Redwoods, or have a picnic at Vasona Lake County Park (Los Gatos).
Tour the Japanese Garden, located right near Saratoga Springs.
Our venue is a little further south, but SF is one of our favorite cities in the whole world. We recommend visiting places like Ocean Beach (see the Windmills) and the Mission (excellent night life on Valencia and fantastic Mexican food), or stay near Ghiradelli Square in Russian Hill (where Savannah lived during law school) for easy access to North Beach (incredible Italian food), China Town (House of Nanking!!), and an easy bus ride to the Ferry Building. Avoid staying in the Tenderloin or the Financial District
Where Ryan proposed! We spent a lot time walking these trails with views of Alcatraz and the Golden Gate when Savannah lived in Russian Hill for law school. A short walk to the Marina Green (an oceanside park), or Ghiradelli Square.
Located in Fort Mason - highly recommend if you're going to stay in SF! We went here for our first date, and Ryan took us here the day he proposed. We recommend a Radler and Deviled Eggs or a pickled plate. There's a great view of the Marina and the Golden Gate Bridge, and a lovely walking trail
Another of our favorite, romantic beachside getaway spots. Visit Mavericks Beach (famous for big-wave surfing), or just enjoy walking around Pillar Point Harbor. For sustenance, we love Half Moon Bay Brewing Company and Barbara's Fish Trap. Bonus points if you stop at the most beautiful, oceanside Taco Bell Cantina in Pacifica on your way!
Coastal views, scenic drives, surf culture, Redwoods, quirky site seeing (go to the Mystery Spot!). A great place to explore near our venue. Check out Sante Adairius or Humble Sea Brewery, or walk the boardwalk.
Just an hour or two south of the San Jose Airport (depending on traffic), Monterey is a picturesque beach town with amazing vista points, tide pools, ocean views, and of course the aquarium.
If you have time to spend a few days in the Bay, visiting Monterey is a must. The Aquarium is one of our favorite places, and you can easily see wildlife driving along around the Bay itself.
Try the Mai Tai IPA and the Baked Potato Egg Rolls.
