Ryan grew up in Oakland, and Savannah grew up in Sunset Beach, California. Neither of them knew their paths would cross just before both of their 30th birthdays in San Francisco. We met on the dating app Hinge while Ryan was living in Oakland and Savannah was living in San Francisco during her final year of law school. For our first date, Savannah brought along her dog Gouda to Radhaus, a brewery in Fort Mason, SF. Somewhere between the beers, the conversation, and Gouda stealing the spotlight, we both started to feel like we’d found something special. After countless trips back and forth across the Bay Bridge, we decided to make Oakland home together, and we’ve been here ever since. Ryan works as a CPA for a tech company, and Savannah is an immigration lawyer working with youths. We love eating our way through the Bay Area and every city we visit. Between the two of us, there’s always a new restaurant to try, a recipe to cook, or a brewery to check out. Ryan makes sure Savannah doesn’t get lost thanks to her famously terrible sense of direction (good thing we commute into the city together), and Savannah does her best to keep Ryan informed about what’s actually on our calendar. In our free time, you can usually find us watching Gordon Ramsay shows, rewatching Adventure Time or Rick and Morty, picnicking at Lake Merritt, exploring local art and food festivals, or lovingly making fun of Gouda. We’re so excited to celebrate this next chapter of our story with the people we love most. Thank you for being part of our lives and our journey, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you.
