Rachel and Ryan met very briefly one night as Rachel was headed home from work, and Ryan was coming in for a job interview. Rachel swears she saw a little twinkle in his eye. Thanks to a few good friends (thanks Thomas and Bryce!) and an open position, Ryan got the job. They worked together for several months, before realizing they had a connection. One of the first times they hung out, Rachel made late night burritos. It was that night Ryan knew she was special.
