September in Elsah can still be particularly warm. Temperatures can still be in the 80s with humidity. There's normally not much rain.

Please wear something blue in your Sunday Best church attire. For the ladies, this consists of a nice dress and shoes, maybe a shawl or cardigan to cover your shoulders. For the gentlemen, this means blue pants with a button-down shirt. Suit jackets are optional, but encouraged.

Yes, Elsah has limited options for lodging. Please consider staying in Grafton, IL or Alton, IL. The Great River Road is much easier to navigate than the back country roads. We are actively gathering more information about other lodging options.
