Hotel

Arapaho Valley Ranch

8992 County Road 6
Granby, CO 80446

This is where the welcome party, wedding, and reception will be held! It is off the beaten path, which makes it all the more beautiful. AVR is located at the end of Lake Granby down a dirt road that takes about 20 minutes to drive. It is located about 3 hours from Denver International Airport, so please plan accordingly. We do not recommend this drive at night for first timers. The road is accessible to ALL vehicles; you do NOT need at 4X4 car.

Travel Note

Rent A Car

There is NO CAR RENTAL IN GRAND COUNTY! If you would like to rent a car, do it in Denver! Pros: Have your own car to get around the county. We have some public transportation in town, but not to and from the venue. Enjoy a beautiful mountain drive over the historic Berthoud Pass! Cons: You have to drive over Berthoud Pass... this might not be for everyone! You will have to pay for the rental car the whole time you are in the county. We do not have a place to return cars up here.

Train

Amtrak- California Zephyr

The Amtrak is a great way to get from Denver to Grand County! Pros: It's a beautiful ride and easy to access from the airport. No need to rent a car or stress over traffic. ***Fun fact! This train is the reason Ryan moved to Colorado and therefore the reason he and Katie met and fell in love! Cons: They have a limited schedule, so please check the website for dates and times. The train does NOT drop you off at the venue. You'll need to let us know if we need to shuttle you to and from. $39- $61 one way. Departs Union Station at 8:46am. Arrives in Fraser 10:48am, Arrives in Granby 11:22am

Train

Bustang Bus

The Bustang will take you right from Union Station to Granby! The bus route is Route 1002. It leaves Union Station around 3:15pm and arrives in Granby around 5:30, Fraser around 5:03. This is a super easy and affordable way to get into the county. However, it does not take you directly to the venue so you will need to get a shuttle from a service, like Home James, or have us pick you up!

Shuttle

Home James

September 22, 2026 6:00 pm

https://www.ridehj.com/ We have a local shuttle company that can get you where you need to go! Pros: You can take the Home James Shuttle directly from the airport to the venue! Great option for a group who does not want to rent a car but wants to split the cost of a ride. Cons: Expensive for solo travelers. You will not have a personal vehicle to get you around the valley once you've arrived.

Travel Note

HOW TO DRIVE HERE

Some possible routes to get to the venue: I70 to HWY 40 Over Berthoud Pass. Enjoy the stunning mountain drive up the iconic I70 interstate and over the historic Berthoud Pass. This route will bring you through the towns of Winter Park and Fraser. This is mountain driving and can be exciting for those who aren't used to it. I70 can also have lots of traffic, it is lovingly called the I70 parking lot for a reason! Drive through Rocky Mountain National Park. If you'd like to take the EXTRA scenic drive, you can drive up to the town of Estes Park and go through the park. This drive also takes you over a stunning and heart stopping mountain road. It's important to book your entry time slot and pay the park entrance fee if you are entering between 9am -2pm. This drive takes about 3 hours, but you'll want plenty of time to get out and enjoy the views! I25 north through Walden. If you are hoping to avoid all mountain driving and don't mind a few extra hours in the car, this is your route. This path adds about 2 hours to the trip, but you'll get to visit Katie's hometown of Fort Collins and drive through the beautiful Poudre Canyon.
