Question

What are the accommodations at the venue?

Answer

-Arapahoe Valley Ranch has a wide array of options for your stay. They have cabins, glamping tents, tipis, and yurts. We recommend taking a look at the website to get a better understanding of what each options offers. Please be aware that the cabins are the only lodging with bathrooms inside. All others have shared bath houses just a short walk away. -AVR offers some of the most affordable accommodations in the whole valley. An average night at the ranch is $100 per person! -Arapahoe Valley Ranch is a bit of a drive from town down a winding dirt road. We don't recommend driving after enjoying the festivities. Staying at the venue will allow you to party all night long with us! -AVR is considered "glamping", which means you'll want to bring the right gear. Warm sleeping clothes, snacks and drinks, and a flashlight should all be on the packing list.

Question

Do I need to book my own accommodations?

Answer

Nope—no need to stress about reserving a place to stay for the welcome party or the night of the wedding! We’ll be assigning accommodations for everyone. Once assignments are finalized, the venue will send you a link directly to complete payment. Please be sure to check out the accommodations section of the website and let us know if you have any requests or preferences. We’ll do our best to place everyone where they’d like to be, though certain types of accommodations are limited. That said, every option at the venue is lovely, and we’ll make sure each space is a great fit 💛

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

We’re not setting a formal dress code—but we’d love for everyone to feel like part of our wedding party! If you’re up for it, we’d appreciate you dressing in our wedding color palette to help tie everything together and make the day feel extra special. Our colors are: Sage Green, Forrest Green, Terracotta, Burgandy Dress comfortably, in whatever style feels most you, and keep in mind that we’ll be celebrating outdoors in the mountains. September in Colorado can bring anything—from sunshine and 75° to surprise snowstorms. Please come prepared for all kinds of weather with layers, cozy extras, and sturdy shoes. We promise it’ll be beautiful no matter what!

Question

Should I bring the kids?

Answer

We love your kiddos, and we can’t wait to celebrate with them during the reception! However, we’ve chosen to have a kid-free ceremony so we can keep things short, intimate, and distraction-free. If you're bringing your child, we kindly ask that one parent sits out the ceremony to be with them. Thank you for understanding and supporting this part of our day—we truly appreciate it!

Question

Can I bring my dog?

Answer

We would love to have your pup join us for the weekend! If you plan to bring them along, just let us know so we can make sure you are in an accommodation that allows dogs.

Question

What should I do about the altitude?

Answer

The mountains are stunning, but the air is thinner up here! Arrive a little early if you can to acclimate-spending a day at a lower altitude, sip plenty of water (electrolytes are your best friend), and get some solid rest. Take it slow the first day—you’ll still have plenty of energy to celebrate and dance with us!
