They met in 2019 while working at Cabela’s in Grand Junction sharing the same friend group and crossing paths in small, seemingly ordinary moments. He always made it a point and get her attention to say hello as she walked in for the day, something she found a little funny at first, but those small gestures quietly meant more than either of them realized. A casual invitation to see a Marvel movie led to their (almost not) first adorably awkward date followed by a second date filled with wings, real conversation, night drives, and the beginning of something special. Their love grew through time outdoors, shared adventures, laughter with friends and family, simple joys, and cherished traditions especially Fourth of July camping trips and annual November road trips to Texas to visit family. They grew together as the years passed building careers, moving in together, (still) learning life side by side through late-night talks, everyday moments and what it meant to truly share a home and a future. Then, during a warm winter weekend on the snow-covered Grand Mesa -what she believed was a simple family photo outing- he surprised her on a quiet bridge crossing over a sparkling creek, he got down on one knee (nearly slipping in the snow) and asked her to spend forever with him. In that breathtaking moment everything felt perfectly, beautifully right, it felt like home.
