In 2020 we scrapped our hopes for a normal wedding, not knowing if or when our world would return to a pre-pandemic normal. However, we were unwilling to put life on pause and committed to start our life together as soon as we could. We dragged our parents and our best friends out on a road trip to Big Sur to witness our exchange of vows in a tranquil, seaside forest on March 28, 2021. Though we did miss everyone else who couldn’t be there, it was the safest choice we could think of at the time. We stand by our decision. The pandemic showed us how our days are numbered. The more of our life we get to spend together, the better. This past year of marriage has the greatest blessing of our lives and we wouldn’t trade it for the world.
We went for a nice lunch at The Beach Comber in Crystal Cove on August 29, 2020. Took a walk down memory lane that ended with the sweetest proposal from Ryan.
