Happily Ever After-Party

They met on the dance floor. Just a couple of 13-year-olds slow dancing to Usher—awkward and blissfully unaware. Ryan became Jessi’s first boyfriend, and they were both each other’s first love. Unfortunately, their middle school relationship did not make it, but Jess and Ryan remained good friends throughout high school. Fast forward to the summer of 2014. What started as a casual hangout, turned into much more. Six years after their middle school romance, Ryan and Jessi found themselves together once again, but this time, there was going to be a happier ending. Ryan and Jessi had found a deeper love for one another: One that was rooted in Jesus. The two spent nearly seven joyful years together, when on March 28th, 2021, Ryan and Jessi said, “I do,” and became husband and wife. Here’s a little bit of what the two have to say about each other: Jessi: Through the many seasons of our relationship, I’ve only fallen more in love with this incredible guy. I see the Holy Spirit alive in Ryan through his wholehearted love and his faithful commitment to serving others. He inspires me and adds so much joy and depth to my life. When I’m around him, movies are funnier and food tastes better—it’s silly, but that’s love. He is truly my best friend, kindred spirit, and the one that makes my heart dance. I’m so thankful for my husband, Ryan, and the beautiful life we are building together. Ryan: The past 7 years have been the most vibrant, memorable years of my life, and it is all thanks to Jess. In her, I have found a best friend, a woman of God, and the love of my life. Jessi is kind, considerate, and one of the warmest people I’ve ever met. She is hilarious and has brought more joy to my life than I thought possible. My greatest adventures have been with her, and I’m so excited to begin our lives together. There is truly no one greater I could have asked to be my wife.
