As many of you know, we had a small marriage ceremony on August 15, 2020 at Jessi's grandparents' home with just our immediate families. As we navigated this uncertain time, we became even more certain of our commitment to one another. With the time we had to reflect on our love and relationship, we determined that we were ready to take this step together without any further delay. While we wish that we could have had all of our guests there in person, we are so glad that we're able to share a video of the ceremony (thanks to Jessi's brother, Michael). Here is a link, if you would like to check it out: https://youtu.be/yA7aK0muPqA?t=259 Nevertheless, this marriage won't truly feel complete until we are able to celebrate with all of you! We appreciate all of the love and support we've received, both over the years and during this time, and we look forward to that special moment when we make this commitment to one another in front of all of you. We wish you and your families all the best and can't wait to see and celebrate with each and every one of you! All of our love, Jessi and Ryan
Jessi and Ryan met at Wake Forest, where they were two of the only people in their group of friends whose families lived in New York. Neither of them had many other friends in the city, so they would awkwardly hang out together during holidays and breaks. Somewhere along the way, between Jessi accidentally taking Ryan's brother Sean to a "DVD" store on 34th Street and Ryan making increasingly frequent visits to his alma mater, they realized that they shared a special connection. They both moved up to NYC after graduating in Spring 2015, and they've loved continuing to explore the city together. They are thrilled to be on this journey together and can't wait for the many adventures to come.
