Things To Do

We’re so excited to celebrate in one of our favorite cities and the city we call home! If you’re making a weekend of the trip, Chicago has incredible food, architecture, museums, and lakefront views. Here are a few of our favorite things to check out while you’re in town.

Wrigley Field Tour (Sunday June 14th)

1060 West Addison Street, Chicago, IL 60613

If you've never been before or have been but want to see the behind-the-scenes, check out the Wrigley Field Tour on Sunday after our wedding (unfortunately no scheduled tours the Friday or Saturday)! Tours between 10 am and 4 pm every two hours (we recommend buying tickets ahead of time)

Walk or Bike the Lakefront

Lakefront Trail, Chicago, IL

Chicago’s Lakefront Trail runs for miles along Lake Michigan and offers amazing skyline views. It’s perfect for a morning walk, run, or bike ride. One of our favorite things to do in the summer is to Bike the Trail!

Walk the Chicago Riverwalk

22 E Wacker Dr, Chicago, IL 60601

Just steps from many downtown hotels (including our wedding block hotel), the Chicago Riverwalk is a beautiful place for a stroll along the river. You’ll find outdoor bars, restaurants, and some of the best views of the city’s architecture.

Take an Architecture Boat Tour

112 E. Wacker Drive, Chicago, IL 60601

One of the most iconic Chicago experiences is an architecture cruise with the Chicago Architecture Center. These tours travel along the river and give an incredible overview of the city’s history and skyline.

Explore Millennium Park

201 E. Randolph St.,, Chicago, IL 60601

Take a photo at Cloud Gate (better known as “The Bean”) in Millennium Park, then walk over to Maggie Daley Park or along the lakefront.

Visit the Art Institute

111 South Michigan Avenue, Chicago, IL 60603

If you love museums, the Art Institute of Chicago is one of the best in the country and home to famous works like A Sunday on La Grande Jatte and Nighthawks.

Eat Some Chicago Classics

While you’re in town, be sure to try some Chicago staples: Deep dish pizza at Lou Malnati's Pizzeria or Giordano's A Chicago-style hot dog from Portillo's Italian beef from Al's Beef
