Question

Is there a welcome party?

Answer

Yes! Our parents are generously hosting a welcome party on Friday evening, and all wedding guests are invited. We will be going out on the Anita Dee II and having light bites and cocktails on the lake while mingling and watching the sunset behind Chicago! The boat will leave at 7 PM and you can start boarding as early as 6:30 PM. It will be a great opportunity to relax, catch up with friends and family, and kick off the wedding weekend together.

Question

What should I wear to the welcome party?

Answer

The dress code for the welcome party is summer cocktail attire. Think festive, comfortable, and appropriate for a (hopefully) warm Chicago evening.

Question

What is the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

The wedding dress code is more formal - Black Tie Optional. Tuxes and gowns are welcome, but suits and cocktail dresses are also perfectly appropriate. Most importantly to us, please wear something you feel comfortable celebrating in!

Question

Will the events be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The weekend will include a mix of indoor and outdoor spaces. - The welcome party boat has two indoor levels and an open-air top deck - The ceremony and reception will be indoors. - Cocktail hour between the ceremony and reception will be held both indoors and outdoors on the patio. All venues have indoor options available, so everyone will be comfortable regardless of the weather.
