Glacier is one of the most beautiful places we have experienced together. We highly suggest carving out some time to venture into the park. Please visit the National Park Service website or reach out to us to see which passes are required to be booked in advance for the park.
Our home base in the summertime is Missoula. There are so many great bars, restaurants, and activities to experience in town. Some of our favorite spots for food or drinks include Highlander Brewing, Charlie B's, 7R Rooftop Bar, Top Hat Lounge, and The Oxford. We enjoy bar hopping around downtown, popping into the shops on Higgins Ave, or taking a walk by Caras Park along the Riverfront Trail. For the best views of town, hike "The M" trail on Mount Sentinel located behind The University of Montana.
If staying in Polson, we suggest checking out a few local places. The Miracle of America Museum is worth exploring. Stop by Richwine's Burgerville for a fresh burger, corndog or huckleberry shake. Head North on Highway 35 and stop at one of the many cherry stands or orchards for fresh Flathead Lake cherries. Explore the area and hike around Kerr Dam or book a tee time at Polson Bay Golf Course. The Durham Kitchen & Cocktails has great food and is walking distance from the Kwataqnuk.
We always make it a point to stop into Bigfork whenever we are near Flathead Lake. We love sitting outside at the Garden Bar for beers and Oro Y Plata for food and cocktails. The Swan River Trailhead starts in town and provides a nice walk along the river. The Bigfork Summer Playhouse is a great venue to check out shows.
