Like many modern love stories, ours began with a swipe right. As the world was emerging from the pandemic, Ryan and Jen both signed up for the dating apps, hopeful we would meet "the one!" After exchanging a few messages on Bumble, Ryan asked Jen out for a drink at the Brighton on the Wharf in DC. A few drinks and some crab dip later, we knew we were headed for a second (and third, and fourth) date. Lots of pizza nights, ice cream dates, sporting events, morning runs, rounds of golf, and great vacations together followed. The rest is history!

After moving in together in Arlington, VA in Summer 2022, Jen and Ryan agreed that things between us were serious. On a family vacation in Florida, Ryan asked Jen's parents for their blessing and then planned the proposal with Jen's sister Maggie. While home in New England, Ryan planned a romantic evening in Newport. Jen thought they were going for dinner and a sunset, but when they arrived, Ryan proposed! Jen said yes, our families met us for dinner afterwards, and wedding planning began!
