FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Our dress code is formal, with comfort in mind. Since our wedding will be in July, feel free to wear light fabrics or even dress shorts if you’d like. We kindly ask that guests avoid jeans, but please choose whatever formal look helps you feel stylish and comfortable in the sunshine. During the ceremony, we simply ask for modesty in the church.

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

Yes, we will have an open bar for all of our guests to enjoy complimentary drinks throughout the event.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

Yes, we encourage you to take photos and share them on social media! Please use our wedding hashtag #fancyclancy so we can see all your wonderful pictures.

Question

What happens if it rains?

Answer

The celebration goes on, rain or shine! Our ceremony will be held indoors at the church, and the reception will take place under the pavilion. Additional tents can be set up if needed, and guests are welcome to bring umbrellas if rain is in the forecast.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Yes! We’ll be listing a hotel local to our reception on our hotel page soon.

Question

Do I need to choose my meal before the wedding?

Answer

No. Our reception will be buffet style, so you don’t need to choose a meal ahead of time.

Question

I have a food allergy or dietary restriction, can I make a special request?

Answer

Absolutely, we are happy to accommodate most food allergies and dietary restrictions! Please ensure you let us know in advance at rclancy96@gmail.com or smithersgabrielle@gmail.com.

For any questions or concerns, please feel free to email Ryan at rclancy96@gmail.com or Gabby at smithersgabrielle@gmail.com.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Yes, there will be parking available at both the church and reception/venue. We ask for guests to carpool if possible.
