All the ceremony and fun of a wedding, plus a whole weekend of camp activities, sleepovers with your friends in cabins, shared meals throughout, and plenty of opportunities to enjoy the water and the woods of Maine! We highly encourage our loved ones to come for the whole weekend to make friends, play camp games, eat s'mores by the fire, and relax by the lake. Even if you're not spending the night at the camp, you're more than welcome to join in on the fun during the day Saturday for a little Maine retreat before our wedding. We invite everyone to bring their best campfire ghost stories and friendship bracelet-making creativity :)
Pack as if you're spending the weekend at the lake: Here's a list of items we recommend packing: - All personal toiletries (shampoo, soap, etc) - Sunscreen - Bug Spray - Bathing suit - Beach towel - Hair tools (blow dryers, straighteners, curling irons, etc) - Steamer/Iron if you wish - Athletic wear & gear (there will be a yoga class Saturday morning, feel free to bring a mat or towel if you'd like to join!) - Water bottle - Welcome party outfit (Camp Chic / Dressy Casual) - Wedding outfit (Semi-Formal) - Casual/warm clothes and shoes for after party/bonfire. Mornings and evenings might be cooler temps, so pack with this in mind! - Beach accessories if you wish - Additional beverages and food for your own use between catered functions. There is a grocery store (Hannaford's) on the way into camp that is perfect for stocking up! - A cooler to keep your cottage stocked with your own drinks/food. Some cottages have fridges, but most do not. Kingsley Pines has a commercial ice machine that can be used throughout the weekend by guests. - [Optional] Extra pillows and blankets if you prefer your own!* - [Required] Your inner-child energy and biggest smile *Linens are included in all cabin rentals and are provided “camp style” meaning they are placed neatly on beds for guests to make their own. A set of linens includes one pillow, one pillowcase, two sheets, two blankets, and two bath towels. We all forget something when we travel right? Don't worry, we will have some extra essentials stocked in communal areas.
Sure! The weekend schedule and timing for our wedding ceremony can be found on the Schedule page of this website.
We love your little ones! However, this weekend will be catered towards adults, so we please ask that your kids stay home for the wedding. We hope you have more fun with a night off that way, too!
Whatever makes you feel beautiful and is something you can dance in is great with us :)
Since all guests are invited to stay at the camp, we are not able to provide group transportation. If you're staying at the hotel or a vacation rental, please have a designated driver (and/or carpool!!) to safely get to and from the venue.
The wedding ceremony and cocktail hour will be outdoors, weather permitting. The reception will be indoors.
All guests will be provided dinner Friday night and dinner Saturday night at the wedding. Those staying at Kingsley Pines will also get breakfast and lunch Saturday, and breakfast on Sunday. All meals will be included in the cost of your stay at Kingsley Pines. Beer, wine, spiked seltzers, and n/a options will be provided at the Welcome Party. There will be an open bar with a tip jar for the bartenders during the wedding cocktail hour and reception party - BYO alcohol is strictly prohibited during the wedding's cocktail hour and the reception. There will be plenty of drink options for all guests. Non alcoholic options will be available as well. If you want any snacks, drinks, or other food for the weekend, feel free to bring your own! There is a grocery store on the way into Kingsley Pines (Hannaford) that is perfect for stocking up on snacks & extra drinks. There are also grills onsite that guests can use at any point throughout the weekend. We also highly recommend stocking up on your own drinks to enjoy during non-wedding events (think hanging at the lake with a beer or late night drinks after the wedding!) A small number of cottages have fridges, but we recommend bringing a cooler to store your cold items. KP has a commercial ice machine onsite for guests to use.
Your invites will indicate who is included with your party. For plus ones, your invite will either include their name or "guest." If your formal invite does not include an additional guest's name, we ask that you please do not bring any additional people with you.
We love your pets, too! However, Kingsley Pines does not allow guests to bring pets so please plan accordingly.
Yes! We absolutely encourage guests to bring their own if they already have them. Kingsley Pines will have a number of canoes, kayaks, and paddle boards available to rent, but the more the merrier! We also recommend bringing tubes for floating if you can easily pack them (we will bring some extra!). Please keep in mind there will not be a life guard on duty, so please swim at your own risk.
No, Kingsley Pines does not have parking for RVs or camper vehicles of any kind. All guests staying onsite will have to stay in an assigned cottage or bunkhouse.
While no one is required to stay at the camp, we absolutely encourage everyone to so that you'll get the most out of the weekend! All cottages/bunkhouses are newly renovated and are equipped with electricity, hot water, fans, and full indoor bathrooms. Cottages have a variety of full, queen, and twin-sized beds. We will be assigning cabins carefully & thoughtfully. If you have any requests you will be able to submit them in the booking link: https://forms.gle/SL4RyibrBPwtBGs79. Kingsley Pines requires that all cottage accommodations will need to be handled by the bride & groom. The per-person fee for the weekend includes lodging, bedding/linens, and some meals outside of the wedding celebrations. We know camp life is not for everyone, but we hope our guests will embrace it for a few days and share the weekend with us!
Please fill out the Google Form provided in the RSVP questionnaire / linked in the "View" button of the Accomodations page. As mentioned, Ellie & Ryan will be booking and pre-paying for all cabins for guests. When booking, you will fill out a form with your info & requests. Once that form is submitted, we will send a Venmo or invoice request for your booking. If you do not use Venmo, we will provide information for mailing a check. Guests have the option of staying just Friday or Saturday night only if they wish. This will be available in the booking link!
