Roatan, HN (RTB)
RTB is located 30 min from West End and West Bay. We highly recommend flying directly into Roatan for those that do not speak Spanish. Roatan locals will speak enough English to get you to where you need to go but mainland Honduras is primarily only Spanish speaking. Taxis from the airport to West End/Bay typically cost around $30 if you do not have a shuttle or car. Car rentals are reasonably priced and it is not difficult to drive on the Island.

Honduras has three international Airports SAP, XPL and RTB all with direct flights from the USA, but Roatan (RTB) is definitely the one we recommend. English is widely spoken in the island and major US Airlines offer direct daily flights to it. Most hotels and airbnbs would offer transportation from the airport for a charge, if not taxis are available at the airport.

Joined on to La Placita Shopping Center allowing easy access to local shops, restaurants etc. And It is practically behind the venue where the celebration will be held. Accomodations and Other Info
Roatan offers several types of accommodations. Villas at All Inclusive Resorts, Hotels, rooms or houses on AirBnb or VRBO. But when you start your search, we recommend looking for places in West End or West Bay, since these areas are the most popular spots for tourism. Although there are beautiful beaches along the island and several more accommodations further away from these two spots. West Bay has amazing beaches and most of the resorts are in this area in particular, additionally, West End is known for its fun nightlife. The Island is small, about 40 miles long and 3 miles wide but to move from one area to another you will need a rental car, cab or water taxi and it might take 30 mins or more since the roads are narrow and often steep. It takes roughly 2 hours to drive from end to end for you to have a good idea. We are staying in West End and our anniversary celebration will be held in West Bay. It's easy to move to and from these two places, they are about a ten minute trip either by taking a cab or water taxi. Cost for a water taxi is about $3-$5 per person and about $20 for a cab with up to 8 persons. If you would like to stay elsewhere on the Island, we recommend the French Harbor or Sandy Bay areas as it has the most amenities (grocery store, shops, golf course, etc.) and there are ample Airbnb options (Coral View, Pangea, Pristine Bay, etc.); there are many large villas with amazing views of the Caribbean!
