Ryan and Deanna met through a mutual friend, Laura Olson, in January 2018. But unbeknownst to Deanna the plan was in the works months before they actually met. Knowing Ryan was single, Laura began showing him photos of Deanna in a red dress, to which Ryan replied, "Set me up!". Unfortunately, Deanna was in another relationship at the time, so Ryan would have to wait. Flash forward to January 2018, Deanna is now single and Laura begins sending her photos of Ryan seeing if she'd be intersted. Timing was still off as Deanna had intended on taking a break from dating. But about a week later fate stepped in. On January 7, 2018 Laura and Deanna went to brunch and decided to continue their fun at a local bar, the Balboa Saloon. It was a Sunday so there were many people there watching football games. As soon as they walked into the bar Deanna immediately recognized the guy from the photos. This was not a set up, this was fate. For the remainder of the afternoon Ryan and Deanna sat a private table chatting, learning about each others interests. Then as the day turned to night Ryan had to go home but before leaving he asked Deanna on a date. January 10th, they met for their official first date at Habana where the connection they felt only 3 days prior was not only solidified but already began to grow. From that night forward they were inseparable, and in July of 2018 they made the decision to move in together. After only 6 months of dating they knew they had found what each other were looking for all their lives.

Then on the 3 year anniversary of their first date, Ryan planned a dinner on the beach at Crystal Cove. Little did Deanna know, that would be the day that would change their lives forever. At sunset Ryan got down on one knee and asked Deanna to marry him. That leads us to today, ready to celebrate the continuation of a beautiful life that started January 7, 2018 and will continue for a lifetime with the love and support of our closest family and friends. And thank you Laura, we are eternally grateful.
