We're getting married

Darby and Ryan’s love story began in Tucson, Arizona in 2017. Their first date was at a popular sushi restaurant downtown, and they didn’t want the evening to end. They kept talking at a brewery until they closed the place down. Darby loves Ryan’s huge heart and loyalty for everyone: his family, his friends, and his dogs Jake and Ash. She fell for Ryan almost as quickly as she fell in love with his dogs. Ryan loves Darby’s quick-witted sense of humor and the way her smile lights up the room. Their relationship grew into love and after 2 years, Ryan knew it was time to take the next step. He humbly asked Darby’s dad for her hand and then her family and friends waited… and waited… He had planned to propose after the hiccup of the pandemic, but we all know that has lasted longer than expected. Ryan proposed in his humble and down to earth way over a trivia game with their favorite sushi take out and Darby said YES! Darby and Ryan love to travel and have already logged in trips to Jamaica, Japan, and Mexico. They can’t wait to increase the number of countries and memories from their travels. They love their family, yet they also love to push the envelope a bit. In recognition of their new life together, they are combining their last names! Their new name honors both their family names and symbolizes their new life together as a new family. They are proud to announce they will be Ryan and Darby Whitt (WHeary + suITT) once they are married!
