Welcome to Seattle

As many of you are traveling to Seattle we want to call out a few things to make your trip as easy as possible. Public transportation is easy and inexpensive to use. Light-rail and bus system are great modes of transportation. If you plan to rent a car please keep in mind that finding parking in the city is sometimes difficult. We would recommend ride share like Uber or Lyft, or public transit over renting a car. The wedding is going to be held in the Capitol Hill area of Seattle. If you’re looking for accommodations some good neighborhoods are; Capitol Hill, Madison Park, First Hill, South Lake Union. There is a block of rooms at Hotel Sorrento

If you plan to come to the island before or after the wedding, we highly recommend staying at the lodges on Vashon.

Travel Note

Vashon Fauntleroy Ferry

If you plan to come to the island during your trip. Please remember to take the Fauntleroy/Vashon Ferry from West Seattle. Keep in mind the West Seattle bridge is closed and you will need to go South through Whitecenter.
