We met in 2003 by happenstance through a mutual friend in Norman Oklahoma. Cristin came to visit our friend Lynne for her birthday. Over that weekend we celebrated with Lynne and company. There was obvious chemistry between us, but the timing was not exactly right. We both went our separate ways. Fast forward to Labor Day weekend 2018. Once again Lynne is throwing a party, only this time it was her wedding in Colorado. We both attended the celebration and quickly caught up with each other. But once again the timing was not right. We both went our separate ways. December 2018 Ryan was driving back from Oklahoma after visiting friends and family for the holidays. On his trip he stopped to see Lynne and Rob as newlyweds and spent a few days in the mountains. During his visit, Lynne mentioned that Ryan should reach out to Cristin when he got back to Seattle. Now let us get to the good part. Ryan sent Cristin a text message as he was getting back to Seattle after 3 days on the road. It read "Hi Cristin, this is Ryan Gray. Lynne thought it would be good for us to connect. Let's get a drink sometime" Cristin responded fairly quickly, "Hey, you should come to Hunters!" Ryan was already back in Seattle and while turning around to drive the 200 miles back to Hunters sounded like fun, he had just come 1500 miles from Oklahoma. The first date would have to wait. After a few weeks of flirtatious texting that included pretend cats, guitars, dog pics and a few phone calls the first date was set. January 12th, 2019. We met over on Vashon Island for the day, Cristin needed a date to a party. Ryan made the trip with his dog Dexter and the rest is still to come.
