Downtown Bozeman
A must do if visiting Bozeman for the first time - lots of fun shops, restaurants and coffee shops along the main road!
College 'M' Trail
A short hike in town with great views of Bozeman! Challenge yourself and take the very steep 0.8 mile side to the top, or take the easier 1.5 mile walk. Both are great!
Drinking Horse Hill Trail
Another hike right in Bozeman (across the street from the M) - a little longer than the M but still a great hike with views of Bozeman and the Bridgers!
Lava Lake Trailhead
A little outside of Bozeman in the canyon on the way to Big Sky. A beautiful 5 mile round trip hike that follows a river with waterfalls and leads to lava lake at the top! One of Claire’s favorites around Bozeman!
Storm Castle Peak Trailhead
A moderate/difficult 5 mile hike between Bozeman and Big Sky - one of our favorites!
Sacagawea Peak
A harder hike (a little less than 4.5 miles) but one of our favorites! It’s the start of the Bridger range and provides a full 360 view. *keep in mind that service is limited in this area*
Hyalite Reservoir
No shortage of things to do here! Cool off in the very cold alpine lake, walk on the trail around the lake or enjoy one of the many hikes surrounding the area! Some of our favorite shorter hikes in this area are grotto falls or palisade falls! ***Please note there’s no service in this area so please load directions and such before entering the canyon!
Palisade Falls
Easy and short hike to a waterfall in Hyalite - about 3 miles out and back
Grotto Falls
Another quick and easy hike to a waterfall in hyalite - about 2.5 miles out and back

A fun place to go if you need to relax after a hike or just want to see what it’s all about!
Peets Hill/Burke Park
A great walking trail through downtown Bozeman that overlooks the city - Claire loved walking here while she lived in Bozeman!
Cowboy Coffee Co.
An amazing coffee shop in Big Sky - we love their breakfast sandwiches as well! Enjoy some coffee and a walk around Big Sky!
