how we met

2nd grade, Cloverly Elementary School

Its hard to believe that Ryan and I have known each other for so long. We met as little 2nd graders and it’s doubtful that either of us truly remember the first time that we met. However, Ryans twin sister, Riley, deserves all of the credit as to how we met and then one day fell in love because she came first. She has been my best friend since elementary school and without her, Ryan and I probably wouldn't be getting married this year!

how we fell in love

high school & college

I think it's safe to say that Ryan fell in love first, in high school. And after years of persistence and pursuing me, I most definitely fell in love with him too. There was no denying that we had something special. We started dating (Facebook officially) on December 1, 2013 after a date night out to the bowling alley. He was dropping me off at my house in his classic Chevy truck and right before I got out of his truck, he asked me to be his girlfriend. And honestly, the rest was history.

How he proposed

July 4, 2019

To keep this short & sweet, Ryan and I took Lia (his sweet pup) for a walk at my grandparents farm (my most favorite place on this earth). And after about a half an hour of working up the courage, Ryan finally dropped down on one knee and asked me to marry him! Obviously, I said YES and then I cackle laughed and cried hysterically in his arms. And I'd be lying if I said he didn't shed a few tears as well...LOL. And then we went back to his house, popped some champagne and his dad set off our own fireworks show to celebrate! It was the Best. Day. Ever.
