Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Since this is a destination wedding, we kindly ask that guests who will be traveling to Bolivia RSVP to the Save the Date by July 31, 2025. For our guests in Bolivia, we ask that you kindly RSVP by January 15, 2026. This will help us ensure we account for all details and can coordinate with our vendors in a timely manner. Formal invitations with additional details will follow. Your early RSVP will be greatly appreciated and will help us make the planning process as smooth as possible!

Question

When should I book my flights?

Answer

We recommend monitoring flights as it gets into the Fall to secure the best rates and availability. Flights for April typically range from $650 to $850, but can fluctuate based on how close you are to the date. To make your travel as smooth as possible, we suggest flying with Copa Airlines to Santa Cruz via Panama, as it offers convenient connections and reliable service.

Question

Do I need a visa to fly to Bolivia?

Answer

U.S. citizens will need a visa to visit Bolivia. You can apply for a visa at a Bolivian Embassy or Consulate in the United States or a neighboring country. You can also get a visa on arrival at Viru Viru International Airport, but you must upload all required documents beforehand to the consulate website portal. The visa fee is $160. Please see the Travel tab for more information, and feel free to reach out to us for assistance, we are happy to help!

Question

What documents do I need to fly to Bolivia?

Answer

U.S. citizens traveling to Bolivia will need a valid passport with at least six months remaining validity, a visa, hotel confirmation, and a printed travel itinerary. These are just a few of the key documents required for entry. We strongly recommend that you refer to the official entry requirements on the website of your nearest Bolivian consulate to ensure you have all necessary documentation before your trip. Be sure to start the process early to avoid any last-minute issues!

Question

How long is the flight?

Answer

Flight times can vary depending on your departure location and layover durations. For example, the total travel time from New York to Santa Cruz, including layovers, is typically around 12 hours. However, travel times may be longer or shorter depending on the specific route and airline you choose.

Question

What is the language and currency in Bolivia?

Answer

The official language of Bolivia is Spanish, and the currency is the Boliviano (BOB). We recommend you take cash and exchange it upon arrival since there is currently a parallel currency market in the country. We will be coordinating with our local forex broker to go to the hotel for our guests’ comfort and ease.

Question

How do I get around the city?

Answer

Los Tajibos is centrally located, making it easy to explore Santa Cruz. To get around, Ubers and hotel taxis are safe, affordable, and convenient options, though please note that you’ll need to pay in cash for both. Transportation will be provided for all of our weekend events, including transportation to and from the ceremony, so you won’t have to worry about getting around!

Question

Where can I get hair/makeup done?

Answer

Los Tajibos Hotel has a hair salon where you can book an appointment for any of the wedding events during the weekend. Additionally, if you prefer, for the wedding on Saturday, Bruna's preferred stylist will be offering appointments during the day for hair, makeup, and nails in a hotel room at Los Tajibos. You can see their work on Instagram: @sandra_y_teo_oficial. Please reach out directly to Bruna if you are interested in this secondary option so we can get an accurate count and finalize details, schedule, and pricing.

Question

Is it safe to drink the water in Bolivia?

Answer

For most American travelers, it's typically recommended to avoid tap water, ice, and uncooked vegetables to prevent any stomach issues. However, at all of our wedding events, we will ensure that everything—including water and ice—will be safe to consume. We will take all necessary precautions to make sure the food and beverages provided are prepared in accordance with the highest standards of safety, so you can enjoy the celebration worry-free!

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

In April, Santa Cruz typically experiences warm temperatures ranging from 80-90°F (27-32°C). While the weather is generally pleasant, please note that both the ceremony and reception will be held indoors, ensuring a comfortable experience regardless of the outside temperature.

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We kindly ask that you refer to the details on your invitation. If your invite includes a plus one, you’re more than welcome to bring a guest. If not, we ask for your understanding, as we are working with limited space and need to keep the guest list manageable. We appreciate your cooperation and look forward to celebrating with you!
